Although the Galaxy Note series has been discontinued, Samsung continues its strategy of releasing two flagship lineups per year. Following the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, the highly anticipated foldable smartphones—Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6—have also made their dazzling debut.

Recently, foreign media outlet *GalaxyClub* revealed battery details about the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The good news is that its battery capacity will see an improvement over its predecessor.

According to leaks, the Z Flip 6 will feature a dual-battery design, with rated capacities of 1097mAh and 2790mAh, totaling 3887mAh. For reference, the Galaxy S24 has a rated battery capacity of 3880mAh and a typical capacity of 4000mAh, suggesting that the Z Flip 6 may also have a typical capacity of 4000mAh. In comparison, the current Galaxy Z Flip 5 has two batteries with capacities of 971mAh and 2620mAh, respectively, and a typical capacity of 3700mAh.

It remains unclear whether the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will adopt a similar dual-battery setup, but one thing is certain: the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will deliver significantly better battery life than its predecessor.

Samsung is expected to unveil its new foldable phones in the summer. Given that the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 were released in July 2023, the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 will likely take another six months or so to officially debut.

Beyond battery upgrades, the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 are also expected to incorporate AI features similar to those in the Galaxy S24 series, with potential refinements and optimizations to existing AI tools for a smarter user experience.

Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable smartphone—the Galaxy Z Flip 6—boasts a 4,000mAh battery. While it delivers excellent battery life among its peers, it actually has one of the smallest battery capacities compared to its competitors. However, the tech giant plans to address this issue in its next iteration, the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

According to our friends at *GalaxyClub*, Samsung’s upcoming flagship clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, will come equipped with two batteries—rated at 2,985mAh (EB-BF767ABY) and 1,189mAh (EB-BF766ABY). This brings the total rated capacity to 4,174mAh and the typical capacity to 4,300mAh. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a total rated capacity of 3,887mAh and a typical capacity of 4,000mAh. This means the upcoming model will feature a 7.5% larger battery than its current counterpart.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the Z Flip 6. The combination of a larger battery and a more efficient processor should significantly extend battery life.
